How You Can Help
We need the help of individuals, businesses and foundations to fulfill
the Garden's role of commemorating victims of homicide.
Through the generosity of many, the Garden of Peace has offered a sanctuary for survivors as well as an important tool in our efforts to foster peace. Your donation of time, money and resources will help us maintain the memorial, host the annual Honor Program and ensure that everyone can afford to add the name of their loved one to the Garden.
Spread the Word
You can help by making a financial donation, volunteering and helping to spread the word. Tell others about the Garden of Peace. Encourage them to make a donation, include a victim's name in the memorial, or volunteer.

Honorary Donation
Make a donation in honor of someone to commemorate a special event such as a birthday, holiday, or other important life event. We will gladly send an acknowledgment card to the person(s) of your choice.

Planned Giving (Charitable Bequests)
By making a charitable bequest in your will or living trust, you can leave a planned gift to the Garden of Peace and provide important support for years to come. You can make a bequest of cash, securities, real property, or personal property. You may also contribute a percentage of your estate or the entire residue of your estate. Your estate will receive a charitable estate tax deduction for the full value of the donation, so your estate will not pay estate tax on these assets. Please note that the Garden of Peace is not engaged in rendering legal or tax advice about charitable bequests. Donors are urged to seek the advice of their estate planning counsel.
Employer Matching Gifts
Many employers and companies sponsor matching gift programs for their employees. At no extra cost to the employee, the company will send a donation to the Garden. That means your tax-deductible gift to the Garden of Peace could be doubled or even tripled! If your company participates in matching gift programs, request the appropriate form, complete it and mail it in with your donation and the Garden will take care of the rest!
Workplace Giving Program through COMECC
The Garden of Peace is proud to be included in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Employees Charitable Campaign. If you work for the Commonwealth, you can choose to give a specific tax-deductible donation to the Garden of Peace through COMECC. Whether you give a one time gift or sign up for monthly, bi-monthly or weekly installment, your participation in COMECC is a wonderful way to provide a sustaining gift to the Garden. You can go to the COMECC website and choose the Garden; our Charity Code is 111160.
